I would like to introduce myself - I am Rosemarie Hanus and I make artisan lampwork glass beads in my studio in Bath Township in northeast Ohio. I melt beautiful colored rods of glass that are manufactured all over the world into beads using my (very hot) bench torch.
My style has evolved over the years to what is usually referred to as an organic style. This means a sort of free form patterning of colors and textures on the bead, but my own spin on this is to make all of the beads very similar in look. I am also very strict on keeping all of the beads of a type the same size. I like to call it "controlled chaos".
